youtube dog training come commands

youtube dog training come commands ๏ปฟThe Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is small: it only weighs 10 to 18 pounds and stands 11 to 13 inches. Why such a long and big name for a pooch this tiny? Well it's said that they originated from England and were kept amongst royalty as the ideal pet – King Charles II in particular seemed to like this breed the most. What made this dog so popular is it's beauty and playful nature. It just loves playing all sorts of games with its human companions, like running around after the human owner. Or nibbling at your shoes, which some people find to be adorable, but for others (like me) to be annoying.

Nevertheless, it's an extremely affectionate dog breed, which needs an owner to somewhat do the same in turn. Giving them attention is the basic requirement for this dog – it's just as important as feeding it or showing it love. Single people married to their jobs aren't suitable as an owner of this breed. Not giving it enough attention and having it cooped up inside the house for long grueling hours changes its personality, for the worse. Keeping it in a lonely environment triggers the development of behavioral problems, such as being hyperactive. It'll be running around uncontrollably inside the house in a destructive manner, possibly knocking over flower vases and other small things it's capable of knocking down.

Having it locked up could also make the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel nervous. This means that it could get scared at the sight of normal human behavior, especially that of other humans that it doesn't know. It would be bowing its head and tail as it walked away from strangers. All this just from locking it up – so if you don't have the time to give it the attention it requires daily, you should never consider getting this as a pet, unless there's another member in the household with nothing much to do and could satisfy its needs. Training a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel won't be difficult.

It's surprisingly intelligent, which makes learning easy. They are very willing to learn and can become very obedient and master several tricks. With the right dog training methods, their good sense of smell coupled with great agility can actually be used for hunting. When teaching this pooch, remember that its core characteristic, which is being affectionate and the demand for human attention. With that in mind, you could work it to your advantage – a routine with utilizing positive comments such as “good boy” or “good doggy” plus doggy treats would condition it to become even more eager to learn. Training routines should be consistent and full of fun if you want to make things easier for the both of you.

Set time for you and your Cavalier King Charles Spaniel to just chill out and go around. Have it meet the other pets in the neighborhood as well as your friends. It will enjoy and need socialization very much, which happens to be one of the building blocks in dog behavioral development.

how to use a dog shock collar properly fitting

how to use a dog shock collar properly fitting ๏ปฟDescription Another unseen freeloader is the whipworm, which is the most difficult to exterminate. They do not need to leave the intestines to complete a life cycle.Eggs are passed in the dog's stool and after 2-4 weeks in a warm, moist environment, they become infective to another dog. The eggs hatch and the worms mature in the cecal area of the intestine where they can cause chronic bowel inflammation. How they are acquired Most common in adult animals especially those housed in groups or kennels because they can become infectious to other dogs after a few weeks in a warm environment. Harmful Effects to your dog The symptoms may include severe diarrhea, flatulence, loss of weight and general overall condition. Whipworms can cause chronic bowel inflammation.

Harmful Effects to Man Luckily, these parasites only adhere to our canine friends. Treatment Fenbendazole (Panacur) is usually prescribed after diagnosis. To regulate these parasites, give doses of milbemycin oxime every month, a heartworm preventive medication. Usually, large breeds of dogs are more prone to hip dysphasia. Labradors, Great Pyrenees, Great Danes, Retrievers, German Shepherds, Saint Bernards, Rottweilers and Sporting dog Breeds are examples. However, small dogs can also acquire this. If your dogs belong to any of the mentioned breeds, the following information might help you.

What is Hip Displasia? Hip Displasia, a degenerative condition, is an abnormality in the expansion of the hip joint, where the ball joint of the dogs hips are misshapen, caused by too much laxity in the joint. This in turn results to wear and tear of the abnormal arthritic bones causing extreme pain. Not only can this cause pain, the joint can also come right out of the socket.

How did my dog acquire this? Hip displasia is a genetic disease, meaning the pup can inherit it from its parents. Note that not all dogs inclined to get this disease will acquire it. Other factors also contribute, like environmental factors, rapid weight changes and other genetic factors as well. Tracing your pet's family lineage will help you determine if your dog is prone to this disease. If there is no incidence of hip displasia in your pet's family, then your dog will not get it.

What are its symptoms? It is difficult to diagnose because it may or may not show clinical signs. Common signs exhibited are lameness on one or both rear limbs, difficulty in standing or walking, hopping like a bunny, and decrease in mobility. After the joint's growth period, many pups display pain sporadically even before arthritis begins to exhibit. It can lead to severe arthritis, in which your pet can be in extreme pain. Rarely, puppies as young as 5 or 6 months can show these symptoms.

What is the treatment? If you suspect your dog has hip displasia, bring to the clinic and have your pet X-rayed. There are two methods to see if your dog has hip displasia - the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) testing uses a standard view and another developed by the University of Pennsylvania Hip Improvement Program (PennHip), which shows to be more effective in detecting Hip Disphasia in puppies.

large dog shock collar with remote

large dog shock collar with remote ๏ปฟHusky owners are among probably the most committed and caring dog owners. Your husky is your best friend so why wouldn't you love them. Of course you wish to be sure that your Husky is as healthy as possible. There are numerous ways you could be sure that your husky is healthy. Good diet is the cornerstone of your husky's well-being and has the greatest influence on how long your friend will remain with you.

It is scientifically validated that if a husky is fed the incorrect type of food over an extended period of time, they are going to become depressed and lethargic. With husky feeding it is advisable to do your research into what a husky likes and needs as a part of good nutrition. This should guarantee that they enjoy life to the fullest.

Key Points to Consider with Husky Feeding

Even though it might cost a little more, selecting top quality pet food for your dog will add years to their life. Your husky needs all the fundamental vitamins and essential minerals as the foundation of excellent husky nutrition. If you make sure that these two parts are covered then the results are going to be awesome. Nutritional supplements are worth considering. Personally I feel that your husky will get the majority of it's nutritional needs through good quality dog food but glucosamine and fish oils are known to help a husky's joint and skin health. These dietary supplements aren't compulsory for your husky but they are definitely worth speaking to your neighborhood vet about it.

The Results of Good and Bad Nutrition

Your husky's energy levels will go up or down based on the quality of their diet. If your dog is lacking the required nutrition you may notice them becoming lethargic. A husky is naturally very active and you need to provide them with the fuel to keep going. Although they eat relatively little once they're fully grown, ensure what you do give your husky is dense in basic vitamins and essential minerals.

Other Benefits of Good Husky Feeding Habits

The better quality the food that you feed to your husky, the more they'll receive into their system to sustain their health. This will lead to your husky taking in additional nutrients and pooping less within your yard. This is good news if you do not take pleasure in collecting your dogs poop around the yard. The consistency of your huskies poop is an excellent indicator of the quality of their diet. You want your huskies poop to be firm but not too hard or soft.

The Risk of Obesity

Obesity can affect your husky just the same as it affects people. Along with frequent exercise, a good eating routine is crucial to make sure your husky stays within a healthy weight range. I do advocate treats as a part of husky obedience training but be sure to use them sparingly and monitor the number of treats your husky gets. Treats quickly add up and they could lead to serious health issues if your husky is over eating.

Avoiding Allergies

If your husky has some sort of reaction to their food or is suffering from a mystery ailment, then a change in diet may just be an effective solution. Try giving your husky something different to determine if the allergic reaction goes away. Your husky's food intake will affect every part of their life and is directly associated with their wellbeing. Monitor their nutrition always and maintain annual checkups at the vet.

The Benefits of a Healthy Diet

One of the great benefits of good husky feeding and nutrition is a brilliant shine in your husky's coat. Combine this with good grooming and not only will your husky feel good, they'll also look great.

A healthy mouth is an additional consequence of excellent husky feeding habits. Dry food is very good for polishing and sharpening your husky's teeth. The high level of sugars and preservatives in canned pet food are a nightmare for causing problems with a husky's gums and teeth.

Think Holistically With Husky Feeding

The saying 'you are what you eat' definitely applied to your husky. Everything from skin condition, coat, teeth, weight and psychological well-being is affected by nutrition. As a husky owner I personally advocate speaking to an experienced vet or husky breeder about good husky feeding choices.

cheap dog shock collars ebay uk

cheap dog shock collars ebay uk ๏ปฟAre you a dog owner who encounters problem with the authorities or your neighbors regarding your dog's barking habit? Yes! dogs are man's best friend, developed through years of companionship in many situations that strengthen their relationship. But when you have dogs that bark all through the night, giving everyone a rough night, you might feel uncertain if you should be keeping your pet at all.

dogs are naturally territorial animals, which makes them a perfect guard for your house. As we all know there are lots of circumstances that burglars were caught because of dogs religiously on guard day and night. But for dogs that seem to bark five hundred times a night, it will definitely make your neighbors take legal actions against you as its owner, you will probably search the web for dog trainers or devices that can help you with this problem. You can also search for dog training tips to train your dog, which is also a perfect time to bond with your dog.

When it comes to training devices, there is several bark collars that can help you train dog. Here are some tips in using a no bark collars to your dog.

Introducing your dog to a No Bark Collar. Before you begin training, you should first get your dog accustom to a deactivated no bark collar. By spending just two days introducing your dog to the collar, you can avoid other problems from developing, such as your dog cowering when you approach him with the bark collar. Introduce your dog to the bark collar by doing the following.

Day One

* Choose a small food reward (about the size of a pencil eraser) that your dog finds very desirable and that he will accept every time.

* Place the bark collar around your dog's neck for approximately 2 to 3 hours.

* Be sure that you have the bark collar fitted in the same manner that it will be during actual training. Refer to the product specific operations manual for determining proper fit of the bark collar. After it has been on his neck a short period of time give him a food reward. Repeat this reward several times.

Day Two

Repeat day one procedure over a 5-6 hour period. Day Three This is the first day that your dog should receive the correction.

Training with the Bark Collar. Before placing an activated bark collar on your dog, carefully choose the first situation in which it is going to be used. This situation should be one in which your dog will learn easily, i.e., one with few distractions. If you do train in a situation with distractions, your dog may not associate the correction with his barking, but with something else. For example, if when your dog first barks, he is looking at a visitor to your home, he may perceive the visitor as being the cause of the correction, instead of his barking. The initial training situation should also be one in which you can observe your dog's first few reactions to the bark collar. Do not leave your dog alone the first few times he receives a correction.

Train your dog only in this initial situation until he has learned what the consequence to barking is. Only then should you move on to the next situation. This will help ensure that your dog understands that barking is the behavior he must avoid, no matter what his reason for barking.

What to expect from your dog while training. The first time your dog receives the correction he may react in a way that concerns you. He may yelp or yip or jump slightly. Do not be alarmed by these reactions. His first reaction to the correction will always be his most intense. After the first few corrections his reaction will lessen. He will eventually just stop barking and remain calm. It is advised that you observe your dog's reactions to the correction.

You should notice an improvement in your dog's barking within the first week of training. At this point many dog owners feel that the "problem has been solved". In some cases this may be true, but in most cases the training is still not complete. Most, if not every dog, will "test" this new learning experience, i.e., they will increase their attempts to get away with barking. This testing period usually occurs during the second week of training. When it does occur you must remain consistent - do not alter your use of the bark collar. Once your dog is trained, you must continue to place the bark collar on him in every situation in which he must be quiet. He may see a new dog or a squirrel through a window for the first time and he may bark. If he is not wearing the bark collar he may get away with barking and his training may suffer a setback. If he is wearing the bark collar, he will stop barking immediately and any setback will be prevented.

amazing facts about dogs

amazing facts about dogs ๏ปฟThe bark collar can control abnormal barking without causing any problems for animals.

The issue of course is not barking if it is needed but barking once the dog has to be quiet. Preventing your dog from barking will not solely depend upon the bark collar tool. This is a particular situation the location where the owner should display understanding but certainty and firmness also. The goal isn't to stop barking since this is impossible. It is possible to disregard the barking nevertheless, you must implement some restrictions when this goes past the ordinary practice.

It is going to boil right down to the way in which you take care of these dogs and cats combining the functions to train and use, establishing limits and showing your approval for the positive attitude.

Anti-Barking Devices

Bark control and training gadgets including the bark collar are flourishing in the market. Nevertheless, individuals have different opinions. This kind of tool may harm or may well not cause any problems for your dog. It is up to one to make a decision before buying. However, the contention is Niagra instrument works well whether it remedies unwanted barking. It can be as much as the trainer or even the owner to ensure that this mechanism won't cause any damage to your pet.

Definitely, these gadgets should never harm your furry friend.

You merely need to solve the matter of excessive barking. There is no cause of your dog to become exposed to physical or psychological sufferings. Being a responsible pet owner, you should avoid any gadgets that may cause anything negative in your pets. Resolving the barking concern is not just a big issue. It isn't even complicated. Things you need is a thing that can tackle the situation logically and you far from unnecessary expenses.

Factors behind Unwanted Barking

The dog barks for a lot of reasons. What are these reasons?

It barks if it sees people and animals it does not know. Your dog barks in the event it feels threatened or senses a probable hostile move against its masters or humans it lives with. This sort of barking is ordinary and considered normal behaviour since it is irregular and even desirable.

However, if the barking becomes uncharacteristic and also the dog barks purely as it believes that something is wrong, the situation begins. If this problem develops, canine owners understand that something must be completed in relation to training and resolving this challenge. If aggressiveness gets out of control, professional dog training might be necessary. The bark collar becomes imperative at the same time.

The skin: why your dog is itching

The skin is the largest organ of your pets' body and reflective of what is going on in the body. Regularly brush your pet looking for fleas, lice or ticks. The hair coat should be soft and shiny.

If you are seeing areas of excessive shedding in your pet then you may be dealing with certain skin conditions such as mange, ringworm, hypothyroid disease or allergies; treatments for these are discussed in detail in my book, Veterinary Secrets Revealed.

If your pet has areas of hair missing around the face that are not itchy, then he may have a type of mange called demodex. This small parasite shows up in pets with depressed immune systems.

One very safe effective treatment is Vitamin E given at 400IU per 40lbs once daily for 3-4 weeks.

If your pet has an excess of flaky skin (dandruff), then she may be in need of a essential fatty acid supplement. Flax is the best source for dogs at a dose of 1 teaspoon per cup of dog food. For cats use the liquid supplement (such as fish oil).

Take note of any palpable lumps or bumps.

Lipomas (benign fatty tumors) commonly occur on the chest wall. If your dog has a soft moveable lump on her chest, then it is probably a fatty tumor.

Sebaceous cysts are another common lump; they can often be distinguished by squeezing out a cheesy substance. They are also very soft. Lumps and bumps become more prevalent as your pet ages and their immune system weakens.

The most important thing in helping your pet is having them on a premium quality diet and supplementing with additional antioxidants. The ones I suggest using are Vitamin E, Vitamin C and specific flavonoids.

Any lumps that are firm, rapidly growing, not easily moveable should be considered serious and examined by your veterinarian.

Allergies are one of the most common reasons that I see pets. There are a huge number of allergens. The 3 main classes are Food, Fleas and Environmental. The most common signs are excessive scratching, paw and anal licking, hair shedding and excess dandruff.

If you suspect that your pet has an allergy, then the first 2 things that I suggest are to eliminate external parasites as a cause, and to feed a hypo-allergenic diet for 4-6 weeks (there are many available).

Some very helpful at home remedies that I often use are:

TO THE BATH. An oatmeal shampoo with cool water will ease the itchiest skin. Leave the shampoo on for 10 minutes then rinse well. With the most severe allergies, bathe your pet twice weekly.

SOOTHE IT TOPICALLY. Calendula ointment is a herbal medication that has been successfully used to relieve the itch. Apply a thin coat twice daily to affected areas.

THE SUPPLEMENT CONNECTION. Fatty Acid supplements are very helpful in decreasing the level of inflammation. Omega 3 fatty acids are most important. A great, inexpensive source is ground Flax Seeds; I give 1 tsp per cup of dog food. Cats are unable to metabolize Flax, so I only recommend the liquid supplement for them. Other sources include fish oil, primrose oil and specific veterinary supplements.

best dog shock collar with remote reviews for wen ๏ปฟIn the neighborhood of pets become one of the fondest members of the family. Especially dog’s members are just really fond of them and the vice-versa. It is important that the dog feels accepted and loved and a part of the family and likewise the owner should also treat the dog with full affection and care. So dog training in Nashville is an essential part of the growth and development of the dog and not to mention also the bond that is existent between the owner and the dog. It recommended that dog training in Nashville should start in the early years of the dog, i.e. when it’s a puppy because the attention and the behavior of that young puppy is yet to be molded.

One can understand if the puppy is new and is not trained, they can be a mess and a little difficult to be around. They create a lot of nuisances that trouble the owner like chewing up your furniture, digging up the flowers, barking at everyone who passes by and even bolting out the door. These are a few behavioral disorders the puppy can develop when its either not trained properly or is not trained at all. It is advisable to train the puppy in the initial years so that the owner and the dog develop a healthy relationship and companionship.

It is really essential to understand your dog and not over do the training or force the dog to do something he doesn't want to do. innotek dog shock collars ๏ปฟAppropriate Age of Golden Retriever Puppy โ€“ Deciding when to get the pup

Golden retriever puppy is almost irresistible. dog lovers can find it very hard to resist seeing a golden retriever pup in front of them. However, there is a valid reason why you should not be very eager to take home a golden retriever puppy if he is not yet at the right age. Like any other animals, there is a specific time for goldens to be separated from their mothers. Newly born retriever pups needs some time to be with their mother to grow and mature. Separating a golden retriever puppy from its mother at a very young age can have devastating effect. Ideally, a golden retriever puppy must be at least 3 months old before you buy it from golden retriever puppy breeders and the reason for this is listed below.

Health Concerns A mother's milk is very essential for a golden retriever puppy to go strong and healthy. Golden retrievers are very vulnerable, thus, golden pups needs the antibodies in their mother's milk. The immune system of a young golden retriever is not yet fully developed; therefore, they need to get antibodies from their mother's milk to ward of different germs and bacteria. Another thing is, very young retrievers cannot handle immunization shots, thus, the moment they get exposed to harmful organism, there is a very high chance that they will succumb to infection. A three month old retriever already has his immune system fully developed, plus he is now ready to receive his vaccines giving him more protection from harmful germs and viruses. Another thing is, three months old retriever pups have higher chances of survival.

Mental Development Golden retriever's mental developments are influenced by their mother and siblings. By staying longer with their mother, retriever puppies learn proper behavior for dogs and they will be able to feel how it is like to live with a family. According to studies, golden retrievers will grow to be shy and fearful if they are taken away from their mothers before they even reach three months old. On the other hand, those puppies who were given sufficient time to bond with their mothers will grow up to be friendly and playful adult retriever.

Another advantage of taking home a retriever puppy at the right age is that, they can be fed easily. Three month old retrievers can start eating solid food, provided that you soften it with hot water before feeding. On the other hand, if you will get a very young golden retriever, you will have to feed the puppy with milk. This means another added cost because this may mean that you will have to buy milk formulas and other paraphernalia for milk feeding.

In general, before you decide to take home a golden retriever puppy, see to it that you are financially, emotionally, and psychologically prepared for the greater responsibilities associated with raising a golden retriever puppy. Remember that these puppies can be very playful. They are very curious and they can munch on everything that they see. Therefore, you should be very careful with your belongings if you do not want them to be the subject of your golden's curious mouth.

house train dog page 1 ๏ปฟPart One: Why does your dog go crazy every time the doorbell rings?

Important point to remember: Your dog has become classically conditioned!

Most of you have probably heard of the Russian psychologist Ivan Pavlov. He’s a pretty interesting guy. He studied .the gastrointestinal track of dogs. In one of his experiments, he would ring a bell and then pour meat powder down a tube into the dog’s mouth. What he discovered was that by ringing the bell and then giving the powder repeatedly, he could eventually get the dogs to salivate just by ringing the bell.

He would ring the bell - give the powder, ring the bell - give the powder. He then rang the bell and waited to see what happened. What he discovered was that the dog would salivate in anticipation of the meat powder. This became known as classical conditioning.

And by now you must be wondering what this has to do with your dog blowing a gasket at the sound of the door bell. Well my friend, keep reading and you will find out…

The doorbell by itself means nothing to your dog; it is what happens every time the doorbell rings that is important. Think back to Pavlov’s dogs for a moment. The ringing bell would not make the dog salivate until it had been paired with something (the meat). By ringing the bell and giving the meat powder at the same time the dog began to expect the powder every time the bell rang. If this happens enough times, the dog will expect the powder even when it is withheld.

Your dog hears the bell, gets up, runs to the door and you follow. Then you try to fight your dog off while greeting your guests. Your guests come in and they try to fight the dog off too and it becomes one big chaotic mess.

One of your dog’s most important needs is social contact. When the bell rings, your dog knows that he is going to get social contact.

The events associated with the doorbell ringing are what produces the unwanted, obnoxious behavior.

When your guest walks through the door this is when the dog gets multiple rewards. He gets the social contact from the new person and he gets rewarded from you the owner with unintentional reinforcement.

Unintentional reinforcement works the same as intentional reinforcement. When your dog jumps and barks we tend to say “stop that,” “no,” “bad dog,” and we also tend to push the dogs off our guests. Believe it or not, all of these activities contribute to the unwanted behavior. When you reinforce a behavior the behavior becomes stronger and stronger. Your dog enjoys the commotion that happens when the bell rings.

So, now I hope you understand why your dog goes nutty every time your door bell rings. This is the first step in stopping the behavior. Once you understand what is going on in your dog’s head, you’ll be able to apply some simple steps to stop the commotion at the front door. Be sure to read Part 2 – How To Stop Your dog From Blowing A Gasket Every Time The Doorbell Rings.

how to train dog to come on command inc

how to train dog to come on command inc ๏ปฟHow To Teach Your dog To Yawn On Command

One of the easiest dog trick that you can train your dog to do is to teach your dog to yawn on command. This trick can be taught to any dog of any size or breed and by anyone, and by anyone I mean children and adults.

What you are going to need before training this trick is treats. You can also use something that your dog likes, like a favorite toy or praise, depending on how your dog responds. For simplicity, I will use treats in my article but you are welcome to substitute it with whatever works with your dog.

Place your treat nearby, preferably somewhere near that you can access easily. What I do is I put my treats on the table by my couch, in a little jar so that I can access it very easily and without having to open a bag to get to them.

When your dog goes for a nap or is sleeping nearby, watch closely and wait until he wakes up. Once your dog wakes up he will most likely yawn. This is the perfect opportunity to reward your dog for yawning since that is the behavior that we want to reinforce. All you have to do during this time is to say the word "Yes!" at the same time that your dog yawns and immediately give him a treat after.

Your timing has to be very precise in order for your dog to learn to yawn. If you do this several times a day for a week you'll notice that your dog will actually start yawning on his own without even being tired just so that he can get a treat. Once that happens, it is a golden opportunity to associate the command "Are you tired" with the behavior of yawning.

Once you see your dog yawning, say your command "Are you tired" and immediately give him a treat. It should take about a week to fully condition your dog to yawn on command. Obviously this is relevant to the amount of times that you train per day or if your timing is perfect, but in an average you should expect to have a fully trained trick like this in two weeks time.

Now that your dog has learned to yawn on command, you might want to show it off a little bit to your friends and family. The best way to do this is to actually do it with several other tricks so that it looks more like a performance. For example, you could ask your dog to shake his paw, roll over, turn around, give you a high five ... and finish with "are you tired" from all of these tricks, which your dog will inevitably yawn in approval.

Well there you go, this is an extremely easy trick to train your dog and I encourage you to train as many tricks as you can since training is one of the best ways to build the relationship with your dog and to connect with him. Have fun!

best dog shock collar for the money fabolous lyrics cuffin

best dog shock collar for the money fabolous lyrics cuffin ๏ปฟHave you ever seen men getting “attacked” by a police or military dog as part of the dog’s training? The men (I’ve never seen a woman, but I’d like to think there are some strong, feisty women who suit up for this role) wear either just a big padded thing on one of their arms, or they’re engulfed entirely in a padded suit.

The dog lunges for the padded arm, and the “victim” can’t do squat while this occurs.

So from the man’s point of view, what is this all like? According to an article on indefinitelywild.gizmodo.com, a 125-pound Military Working dog named Fritz “attacked” the author who was wearing a “heavily padded safety suit” that included a “rubber prosthetic arm.”

He was instructed to hold out his arm while Fritz sat obediently. The dog was given orders by a handler to clamp onto the author’s arm. The 150-pound author had no control over his body being thrashed about. The goal is to prevent the dog from biting up and down the arm, which the author was not able to do.

The dog instantly released his “victim” upon hearing commands. The author was then told to “say something mean to the dog and then run away” to “provoke him.” So the author said “Profane-you Fritz!” and bolted.

Fritz bolted after him “at full speed, in anger.” Now let me interject here. I question that the dog was angry. A human might be if you said something mean, but not a dog. I’m no dog expert, although Ive had 2 German Shepherds in the past 2 years, but it’s fair to suppose that the combination of tone in the author’s voice, and his sudden sprinting away, kicked up Fritz’s instinct to charge after prey. This is why dogs run after a tossed ball.

The author was brought to the ground in an instant. Fritz remained clamped onto him as the handlers escorted him and the dog towards some spectators. Fritz was rewarded with just a pat on the head (but hey, maybe to a dog, that’s serious stuff).

I’ve always wondered what this is like from the dog’s point of view. If the dog was truly in attack, shred-him-up mode, wouldn’t he go for the face instead of clinging on to just a padded arm that tastes like rubber and not live flesh? When people are attacked by dogs while jogging, walking or inside their homes, almost always, they receive injuries (sometimes very serious) to the face and scalp, even neck. Such dogs will also often tear out chunks of the victim’s legs.

But police or military dogs in training always go after that big rubber arm—and stay with it. To a degree, the dogs think it’s just a game, especially since sometimes, the “victim” is the dog’s own handler—who in the next scene is lovingly interacting with the animal.

Anyway, most dogs are a great layer for home protection no matter their size or abilities. Clearly some dogs aren’t, but, if it is remotely territorial it can act as an additional set of eyes and ears. And if the dog barks upon hearing an intruder, it can act as a layer added to an alarm system.

training your dog to walk on a leash without pulling out eyelashes

training your dog to walk on a leash without pulling out eyelashes ๏ปฟHusky owners are among probably the most committed and caring dog owners.

As a husky owner I personally advocate speaking to an experienced vet or husky breeder about good husky feeding choices.

service dog training school near me middle school

service dog training school near me middle school ๏ปฟTreadmill training is on the rise. More and more people are teaching their pooches the ins and outs of indoor exercise. There are videos all over YouTube of dogs walking and running on treadmills. The funny thing is that they seem happy and are not being forced by the owners. The reasons why people resort to treadmill training vary, but treadmill exercise should never replace the real thing. If you are considering putting your pooch through the training, think about why you are doing it in the first place.

One reason an owner may want to train the dog to use a treadmill is based on the dog’s breed. Many breeds (especially working breeds) have loads of energy that is usually released “on the job.” For instance, Australian Shepherds are natural herders. When they are not herding, they look for ways to burn up the energy. Many owners take Australian Shepherds and other similar breeds home, but do not give the dogs jobs to do. The dogs end up resorting to destructive behaviors, such as digging holes, barking excessively, and attempting to escape, in order to release the built up energy. dogs like this can benefit from a walk or run on the treadmill, especially if the animal is being kept indoors. Be careful not to overwork your pooch, and constantly keep up with his treadmill time.

Another reason for treadmill training is involves both breed and climate. Some dogs are made for specific climates and have trouble adapting to others. For instance, the Siberian Husky is more suited for cold climates. Huskies have thick, multi-layered coats and can withstand very low temperatures. A Husky can survive in warm or hot climate regions but require additional care. Since Huskies are susceptible to heat strokes and dehydration in warmer climates, they shouldn’t be exercised for too long or during the hottest part of the day. But, like all dogs, they need their exercise. Not only are Huskies cold weather dogs, they are also a working breed, meaning they need extra activity to get rid of excess energy. On extremely hot days or really any day, the Husky can benefit from a run on the treadmill.

dogs thrive on routines. They look forward to their morning walks and their evening playtimes. Often, setting a routine for a dog can help correct temperament and destructive behavior problems. Weather is an additional reason for teaching a dog how to use a treadmill; and, alas, the weather is out of our control. If thunderstorms plague the area the entire day, then it is unlikely that your pooch will get to enjoy his daily exercise. Or, if the temperatures get too high, outdoor exercise can be dangerous. The energy will build up, and your dog will start bouncing off the walls. Even though it’s not nice outside, your dog needs a way to get rid of the energy and stay on his schedule. That’s why uncontrollable and unfavorably weather conditions are another reason to let your pooch run on a treadmill.

Treadmill exercise is an easy way to stay inside. As owners, we sometimes resort to the treadmill for reasons other than weather. We find excuses to stay home and exercise; before we know it, we haven’t been to the gym in a month. Don’t pass the same behavior off to your pet. You and your dog should have a daily exercise routine. Whether it’s a long walk or an invigorating jog, you should spend time exercising with your pooch outdoors. Never let the treadmill take the place of a daily exercise routine. Instead, the treadmill should be used as an addition to an arranged routine or used when weather conditions prohibit outdoor activity.

Practice safety when putting your pooch on the treadmill. Let him take breaks, and give him access to plenty of water. Never leave your pup alone while the treadmill is in operation, and never tie him to a moving treadmill. If your dog is under the weather or does not want to use the equipment, then respect his behavior and do not force him into the exercise.

There are times when using a treadmill can greatly benefit your pooch. Breed, climate, and weather are all factors that can determine whether or not your dog needs to be treadmill trained. Never let the treadmill take the place of your daily activity, and always keep your pet out of harm’s way. If you think treadmill training is right for your pet, then do some research and start the process!
